I have been a Methodist minister since 2002. Having served churches in Bedfordshire for 5 years I moved to Tondu in 2007 looking after the Wesley Methodist Church there along with united churches in Ogmore Vale and Maesteg. I was also the superintendent of the Bridgend United Area of which these churches were a part. So I was recognised as a minister in the United Reformed Church too.
My wife, Grace and I moved to North Cornelly in 2015 when I ‘retired’. We spend a day a week looking after our granddaughters who live just across the Bridge in Somerset. During the summer I play bowls. I am a great fan of folk music, especially of Fairport Convention, and have been making a special effort to get to know the music of Welsh folk bands such as Calan and Mabon.
Although I now consider myself an adopted Welshman I still retain a love of the city of my birth, Coventry and so follow, although at a distance the fortunes of the Sky Blues.
