Music of the pipe organ – Skewen Men’s Fellowship

Skewen men’s fellowship had a fantastic night at Reverend Clive Williams home on the 13 July 2017.

Over three years Clive rebuild from thousands of parts a 1911 Norman and Beard Pipe Organ that had been stored for around two years. He has upgraded the organ which now has 858 pipes and 44 draw stops amongst other impressive additions. the result is a very versatile instrument. Not only that he constructed a purpose built sound proofed detached studio at his home.

We were treated to Toccata in D minor [JS Bach], Largo in G [GF Handel] amongst many others. Many thanks Clive for a memorable time.

If anyone would like to join us on our trips please phone Robin Sherwood for details on 07801 023355  ALL WELCOME
